- Chrisothemis Perdikea Kirimi, known as Themis, is a modern scuptor whose work is distinguished mainly for its poignant messages, symbolism and vitality.
“The Crown’s Power” is made with watercolors on 24 x 34 cm aquarelle and comes with an amazing one-of-a-kind handmade gold frame.
Crowns aren’t made of rhinestones. They are made of discipline, determination and a hard- to-find alloy called courage. So, don’t worry about anyone taking your crown. Crowns are a gift from God, they are custom made. Your crown will never fit anyone else. Sometimes when men have power, they can’t control their own fate; the women in their lives do that for them.
According to Themis:
“This painting was inspired by a conversation I had with a friend of mine who told me about his girlfriend and how she helped him with his work. She was responsible for the marketing of his job and succeeded in taking his work forward. They make a good and powerful couple who complement each other. At that time, the image of a crown flashed in front of me. I wished to portray the way women can help men when they are losing control.”
